Pitter-Patter

The lightbulb went on today and Preston is a walking fool. I believe I will be hearing the pitter-patter of someone's feet all summer long. It won't be much of a summer break anymore!

Play With Your Food

We had our one year check-up today, and everything looks great! Here are P's stats for those who might be curious:
Weight- 22.4lbs (50%tile)
Head- 18.25 inches (50%tile)
Height- 30.5 inches (75%tile)
The shots and toe-poke to draw blood were torturous to everyone involved. When it was finally over, the nurse said, "That was so traumatic that I'm sweating!" I nominate Clint to go for the next round of shots since he hasn't had to do that yet. It sucks.
Here's a little movie of a couple meal times from this week. Some good giggles with the Cheerios box the other day, and Preston showing me his new trick tonight.

Schoooool's Out For Summer!

Here I am with all of my kids (including P).
Hooray for summer!!!

Let Him Eat Cake!

Click on the cake face picture to see the album of the whole month.

This was Preston's birthday weekend. (He doesn't get a birthday week until he will appreciate it...) It is hard to believe he is a year old already. We celebrated today with family, and he got lots of great presents! He liked the cake, but didn't eat much of it...he was too busy smearing it on his face.

We are so lucky to have had such a great first year with our little man. Looking forward to many more!

It's My Birthday!!

More to come after the partay tomorrow...

Yes, he slept with no shirt on last night. That's how we roll when it's hot outside.

Wanna Walk?

I requested something special for my first Mother's Day. Not only did I get a nice card from Preston and a gift certificate to Ann Taylor, but I asked Clint to cook dinner for a week and he obliged! I'm aware that I'll have to return the favor for the other 51 weeks of the year, but have thoroughly enjoyed the pampering. Here's a pic of me and my baby on Mother's Day, a few other random shots of him, and the first rose of the spring that bloomed today in my front yard.

Oh- and Preston took his first official steps today---About 4-5 in a row! Here's a video of him walking with very little assistance.

Wrong side of the crib

SOMEbody woke up on the wrong side of the crib this morning. Moments of temper tantrums followed by smiles make Mommy very confused and a little cranky herself. P was reported as being 'perfect' for Mima yesterday. Where is that perfect baby today?!?! Maybe if he didn't get up at 6AM, everyone would be happier (this is what Morning Marie thinks).

This first video is an example of the mood swings. Notice the part at the end where he pushes the buttons on his toy- he has finally started to figure that out!

This one is some proof that there is no sitting still around here for anyone:

And this is just because.

PS- We got our new car! We will be eating Ramen Noodles and bologna sandwiches for the next five years, but at least we'll have two vehicles.

A Case of the Mondays

Clint has a case of the Mondays today. Unfortunately he got to spend his Friday night putting in a new Hot Water Heater. Then today he got into a little fender-bender and totalled our dear family member, Ali the Altima (1993-2009-May she rest in peace). Luckily everyone is ok and he had already dropped Preston off at daycare. To top it all off he gave himself a paper-cut while looking for the insurance folder. Hopefully that is the end to our bad luck. Anyone know of a good car for sale?? Preferably one that is free and has third row seating??

Cinco de Mayo

No mas TequilaThis weekend was the Annual Lund Household Cinco de Mayo celebration. It is a wonderful tradition with delicious food, tasty Mexican beverages, and friends. This year was a little different since there was an abundance of little ones running the show. We couldn't stay as long as we wanted due to P's early bedtime, but had a great time! Here are a few pics from the party.
I got a new hat!

Mr. Wonderful, Lots to Say, and Tickles

A few videos for your weekend enjoyment.
1. I'm trying to train P to be the perfect man. If you listen closely, the toy will tell you what kind of things Mr. Wonderful would say. P thinks he is funny...I think he is a mythical creature.

2. P has started making many new sounds. This morning he had LOTS to say while reading his books to me. It kind-of sounds like "caca". Maybe kids are calling him a caca-poo-poo at daycare? (Kindergarten Cop reference) He also learned how to clap this week, but was camera shy this morning and didn't want to show off his trick.

3. Being silly with Mom at breakfast- I'm tickling his legs. He loves to have his back scratched and be tickled before bedtime now. Giggles and smiles galore!
