Saturday Morning Madness

Eventful morning:

Met Mima for breakfast. Mmmmm. Pancakes, Eggs, Biscuit, Potatoes, Bacon. Delish.

Went to Mall in search of maternity pants. (Maybe due to the amount of food I ate at breakfast-not because of baby bean.) No maternity stores there now! WHAT?? Waste of 45 minutes dragging P around. And I had no cash in my pocket, so he couldn't ride the Carousel. My bad.

Went to Old Navy to continue the fatty pants search. Jackpot AND a Halloween costume for P. MAJOR meltdown while there- flopping on floor, screaming, crying, snot flowing from nose. (Preston did those things, not me. Although I was tempted to join him.) All because I wouldn't buy him a football. Sorry, kid. No footballs for little boys who make me look like a bad mom in public.

Then went to Velvet Creme with The Nelsons for their Popcorn Festival today. Band, bouncy house, NASCAR vehicles, and making our own popcorn ball. Good fun! Camera is with Daddy in Colorado, so you'll have to settle for a few video clips.

Food Play

Well, at least we have fun at meals- even if he never eats anything!

Balloons!

We took a little trip out south yesterday to check out the Great Midwest Balloon Fest. It was pretty amazing, and the kids loved it. Thousands of people were there, and I'm sure many more will attend this weekend. This is the first time they have done something like this here, and I think it was a huge success! (Minus the traffic nightmare.)

Walking to the balloons.

Getting closer...
So many balloons! AND people!

Group pic- Preston was NOT happy...

He REALLY wanted to ride the balloons. Can't rationalize with a 2 year old- he just didn't understand WHY he couldn't ride it!

The "GLOW" started around 8PM. Pictures don't do it justice. Especially when I have a crummy camera. Sigh. I bet other people got amazing pictures though!

More of the "GLOW".

Silliness in the car on the way home. I was a sucker and got all of them a glow necklace.

Slacker

Some misc pics- been a blog slacker.
Our cats are fat and lazy.
Not PHAT, but FAT. Prepping for first KU football game of the season. We won't discuss the results of that one, but the most recent game was GOOD! Hand-me-down shirt courtesy of the Cruz boys. Post big-boy-bed trauma at nap time two weekends ago. Literally screamed for over an hour and lost his voice in the process. "I WANNA GO DOWNTHAIRS!" I THINK we are past the worst of it as this weekend was much improved. No more screaming, just lots of procrastination with "Potty one mo time" and "Leth's pway a diffwent game." No, Preston. Let's play the nap game. That's Mommy's favorite game.
He is just exhausted in this pic.
Ready for bed with my beads and rain boots.

Kosi came over on Saturday and we walked to Velvet Creme. Yum. Preston has a new favorite food- TAFFY!

A little Jeep fun on Sunday morning. Love running into the neighbors when I have no make-up, no bra, and am still in my pjs. I'm sure they think I'm a classy lady.

Sniffing some flowers at Westwood View Elementary. We love to play at their park and are glad the school is not on the closing list! (As well as my school- PHEW!)

"Ummmmmmmm. Mom? I think the slide was wet."
He promptly tried to take his pants off. Not that kind of a park, Preston. Sorry.

And some tire swing action with a little drummin' at the end.

Worried?

Were you worried about the Hooker population?
Were you thinking there were too few?
Have no fear.
We are on it. Baby Bean is due April 4th and all looks good! Preston (obviously) has NO idea what is happening. His little world is about to be ROCKED.
He's ready for Mardi Gras with his beads, though.

Cloth de do fo me!

Sometimes when you are working on a #2 you need a good book.

And some privacy.

Classic.

He usually makes me take his shirt off, too. What a BOY.
