Great-Grandparents!

Preston's Great-Grandparents came to visit this week on their way home from Vegas. He loved meeting them and wishes they lived closer! Here are a few pics from their visit.
The Whole Crew
Great-Grandma Mossberger kept eating Preston's Cheerios!
Papa Rod gave P his first bite of potato chip...and then he promptly tried to stick his hand in the bag to get more. GREAT.

Anyone need firewood?

This was most definitely an atypical Sunday afternoon. Clint was on the couch playing with Preston while I was downloading some videos when he jumped up, ran, and yelled, "That tree's coming down!" It made a loud crackling noise that sounded like, well, an ENORMOUS tree falling. Just yesterday we had been talking to our neighbor about the tree and how it looked like it could topple over any minute. Never thought today would be the day! Luckily he wasn't home, so nobody was injured. I called 911 and they patched me through to the fire dept. (We were worried about gas, electric, etc.) So Preston got to see his first Firetruck! They checked it all out and everything looked ok. This tree was probably over 60 years old and landed within 10-15 feet of our house. INSANE!

And yes, I was the white-trash girl in my tank top and shorts taking pictures and videos throughout the ordeal (while holding Preson). HA!

Show-off

This is a longer video, but has some funny parts. Repeat about 900 times and this is what our Saturdays are like.

Top ten highlights:

1. babbling

2. rolling around on the floor

3. criusing on furniture

4. looking at his hand like he's never seen it before (this part is my favorite)

5. bending over to pick up a toy while standing up

6. tossing toys- he plays with each one for about 3 seconds

7. crawling over a mountain of toys

8. balancing while standing up without assistance (don't blink or you might miss it- it is toward the end when he crawls to me and stands up)

9. falling

10. drinking from his sippy cup

11 Months

Click on this picture to see the whole album of photos for this month. We hit the 11 month mark today. Hard to believe he is so close to his first birthday already. He is moments away from walking and has gotten better at controlling his walker toys this week. Clapped for the first time the other day and says "mama" and "dada" for everything. (More "dada" than anything else.) He loves to go outside and explore and still can't get enough 'Lil Crunchies. (See video) I swear he would put 15 in his mouth at once if I would give them to him!

Thanks to Erin for my cute new shirt!

Kiss The Kitty

Either MC has begun to enjoy the attention or she is just too lazy to run away from Preston anymore. (I think it is the latter.) He has started chasing her around the house to give her kisses. Very cute, but since his kisses are just open-mouth slobbers, he tends to get a mouthful of hair with each smooch. Yuck!

He has also started using his walker toys. Or maybe we should call them his RUNNER toys. I swear he took his first two steps on his own today, but Clint says it doesn't count. We are definitely close, though!

I've Got Friends!

'Sup, Dude?!Jack came over to play last week, and seemed to think Preston was his dog. P had just gotten up from a nap, so he was a little confused by all the "petting". I'm sure they will both be embarrassed by this video when they are older...

Here is a misc video of P being Bam-Bam. He is most definitely ALL BOY:

We also had a visit from The Stanfords this week. Preston thought Jeremy was intriguing and wanted to sit is his lap...

This is the best (and only) picture I got of Preston with Brooks and Charlie. At least they are all sitting. That is an accomplishment since P won't sit still AT ALL anymore. We're planning a trip to Tulsa this summer to visit them, so hopefully we can get some good pics then! Thanks to Aunt Karen for P's cute tie outfit!

Easter Movie

It was such an exciting day, we took too many videos to post on their own, so I made this little Easter montage for your viewing pleasure. (It is about 6 minutes long, so prepare yourself.) We had some of the family over today for lunch and some egg huntin'. Preston enjoyed his eggs that had 'Lil Crunchies in them, or as we like to call them 'crack-for-babies'. No candy yet...

Natalie and Julia liked hunting for the eggs that had their names on them and then participated in a horse race. Uncle Clint is the best horse ever!

End the day with some bath-fun, and you've got yourself a nice little Easter!

Click on the picture below to see the photos we took today. Of course we forgot to get one of all three of us. I think we have two pictures total of all three of us together! I need to work on that.

PS- I need a nap....

Am I annoying you??

Nobody should ever think their own child can be annoying, but I think this video speaks volumes. Picture the movie Dumb and Dumber when he says, "Want to hear the most annoying sound in the world?" Proof that Preston isn't ALWAYS perfect, although he is pretty darn close! We still love him even when he does this. He is protesting what I have tried to give him for dinner. He probably wanted a cupcake instead...

It's My Birthday???

Ok, it isn't REALLY his birthday. But Preston's Godmother (Molly) was in town this weekend and wanted to celebrate early while she was here. So he got to have his first bites of cupcake and open some presents! It wasn't just any cupcake, either. It was a fancy one from Dulce in Prairie Village. Great- now he'll never like MY cupcakes. Thanks for the early celebration, Molly!

You're So Vain

I was a slacker this week, so here are a few videos of P. The first one is of him being silly, crawling around, and talking with Daddy. He is becoming more and more vocal, but still no real words on a consistent basis. He CAN let you know when he isn't happy about something, though. He just does it with grunts and temper tantrums. He seems to reserve the tantrums for Mommy...hmmm...

This one is of him listening to Mimi Mary on the phone. He loves to listen to people and stares intently at the phone when people call him. He REALLY loves looking at my phone because it has his picture on it. He's so vain!

This last one is of him watching TV. I know, I know. Babies shouldn't watch TV. But who says TV isn't stimulating? (I'm being sarcastic...)He is a total zombie whenever Moose A. Moose sings this song on Noggin. But it DOES buy me time to go to the bathroom or change over the laundry while he is distracted. It is literally the only time he sits still anymore, so I welcome Moose A. Moose with open arms. My favorite part of this video is when he realizes that I'm filming him and hams it up. He loves to watch the videos I take of him as soon as I finish- again, SO vain!
