A Full Year Has Passed...

A full year has passed since we welcomed our Callie Rose into the family. She brightens our days and is proving to be an active/determined/stubborn child, just like her brother. As challenging as parenthood is, there is nothing better than a one year old (Gasp! Is she really one?!) giving you a big hug and patting you on the back every morning and falling asleep on your shoulder at night.  These are the moments I wish I could bottle up. But, alas, they keep growing.

Some of Callie's milestones over the past year:
2 weeks- hold rattle
4 weeks- smile
3 months- roll over
4 months- eat feet, eat cereal, laugh
6 months- give kisses, army crawl
7 months- sit up, clap, first tooth, first word (MAMA!)
8 months- regular crawl, wave, second word (Dada- this is also her current favorite word.)
11 months- cruise
Still not walking yet, but she's close!

Here's a little trip down memory lane.

Happy Birthday, Sweet Callie!!

Showing Off and St. Patty's 2012

Had big plans to accomplish many things this week while on Spring Break. Many I didn't achieve (like napping and reading a book), and doing lots of blog posts was on that list as well. Here's a big recap of the last few weeks with some video fun.
Giggles from Callie. My favorite sound.
Showing off her newest trick. Mommy's not a fan of this, as it means baby gates must be up at all times.
Some bath time fun. Love that she thinks she can grab the water. Keep trying, little one.
Some St. Patt's Day fun from this morning. A leprechaun came into our house last night! Luckily Preston was able to find all 10 shamrocks so we can go get a shamrock shake post naps. He just informed me that he doesn't like cold things and that he'll need a straw AND a spoon. Yes, sir.
Here are some pics, too. A trip to Antioch park, playdate with friends, rendevous with Ellen at Franklin Park, many trips to Purple Dragon Park, and some of Preston's artwork.  The weather has been AMAZING, which is great for our high-energy kids. Park time makes everyone happy!
