Ahhhh, TV

Is there anything you CAN'T do? I know, I know. He really isn't supposed to watch TV yet, but it is a real lifesaver around here. We try to use it sparingly, but he does watch some every day. And he LOVES it. Just watch how still he sits- it's a miracle! This video is a little long, but I thought you would enjoy his singing along, tiny dance moves/shoulder shakes, and smiles at the end. TV makes him happy. And it makes it so I can cook dinner or do laundry without stopping every 8 seconds to keep him from kicking the cat, jumping off the couch, throwing toys, etc. Clint's Homer slippers are his new "Quack Shoes" that he likes to wear while watching this Fresh Beat Band episode called, you guessed it, "Quack Shoes."

FYI- the names he is saying along with the song are KIKI, SHOUT, MARINA, and TWIST.

And how about a little dinner conversation? He was actually being very quiet when I shot this, but you get the idea. Fun to be able to really hear about his day!

Flashlight Fanatic

Here is a new game Preston plays with Dada. We used to do this with the cats all the time...who knew P would love it, too?! You can't see much, but the giggles are worth uploading. Remind me again why we buy toys when we can just turn off the lights and move a flashlight around on the wall?

You can see his sense of organization and staying with one task in both of these videos. ADD? Or just a two year old? I'm hoping for the latter. I'm also hoping for the rain to stop so we can go to the park. He NEEDS the energy burn, and so do I!

Farmstead

We took a trip to the Deanna Rose Farmstead in Olathe today, and it was awesome! Kids had a great time, and Moms were worn out by the end.

It was a BEAutiful weekend here. Park time yesterday. P got to spend the night with Uncle Rico and Auntie Tanya last night, and we went to the park (again) today. Nothing better than a lazy Sunday with my boys. And a special shout-out to Preston's Cousin Natalie, whose birthday is today. Happy Birthday, Natalie!!!!
