Clint had to do a little maintenance on the roof today, so Preston was his helper. He is hard to understand, so I try to translate what I can understand. His vocabulary has blown up!

Not Two, But Still Terrible
Let me preface this video with a little explanation so you don't think I'm a terrible parent. (Although I DID think I was a terrible parent all afternoon!) Preston has been a little "off" for about a week. Puke last weekend, some other digestive issues this week, so we kept him home today. Dada stayed in the morning and I came to relieve him in the afternoon. P is very routine oriented, so this was not a normal day. This video was taken after 45 minutes of him doing this at nap time. He didn't go down for his nap until he couldn't fight anymore-- he had 2 hours worth of fight in him, though.
Trust me- I tried EVERYTHING I could think of. "You want up? down? blankie? moukey? boo-boo kitty? read books? cuddle? drink? hug? kiss? me to leave? me to stay? go downstairs? me to sit? me to stand? rock in chair? go to kitties' room? me to sit here and be silent for 5 minutes? tv? (desperation had really set in with that one) go outside? snack? motrin?..." You get the idea. So I decided I may as well document it for a minute or so. You might want to keep your sound down low. Hard to see some of it, but you can HEAR it!
He was much more like himself tonight, but whew! I need a drink.

Head First? Ooookaaaaaay!
Let the March Madness begin...We went to the school park to enjoy the beautiful weather (before the snow starts again??), and P has a new love. Going head first down the tube slide. Sometimes as a parent you have to choose your battles...he loved doing it so much that I couldn't and wouldn't say no. Here is a peek at his sheer joy.Ready? "THET?" (Set)
GO!"Mo, Mo!"He even made some new friends! Notice that he doesn't care that they are already on the slide. He is going again anyway.

Spring Break Park Trip
Remember when we used to go to warm places and sip fruity drinks on the beach for Spring Break? Well, it may not be warm or beachy here, but we can still have some fun! Just a different KIND of fun. I DO miss the Coronas and sunburns from days past, though.

Talk, Talk, Talk
PDiddy is talking all the time. Sometimes we can understand. Other times we can't.
Still loves getting stuck...
And learning his colors! I love that he makes up words to make "sentences" when answering me when I ask him to tell me his colors. "Blgi oooi yoo eee RED!"

Feb Recap (a little late) and Mom's Birthday Week!
Some good fun this month including; time with cousins, a carnival, a KU bball game for parents, snow, snow, more snow, playing with friends, and hitting. Yes, our kid is the one who hits at daycare. We're working on it...any words of wisdom from seasoned parents out there??
Click the action photo below to see the whole month.
Mmmmmmmm....bubbles. I won't eat vegetables, but I'll eat these! My parents say I'm gifted.
I WILL eat a mini cupcake for Mama's birthday- thanks, Jeanne!!
Got a haircut today...and screamed the whole time (again). And WHO ate my all of my Mike n Ikes?? (No, we don't feed him these, he just liked the box.)

Seriously, he loves TV. (See below- I walked out of the room and came back to find him like this.) Sometimes at the end of the day I ask him to tell me who his friends are, and he names real people and then TV characters. We are all ready for spring so we can spend more time with the trees instead of being trapped indoors!! We DO read books, color, and play, too. But he would pick TV over any of that.
Here is some proof that we DO go outdoors to play. P likes chewees (trees).
